KATE hosts an annual conference and publishes two periodicals. The KATE journal, English Education, is a quarterly journal devoted to publishing theoretically and/or practically grounded reports of research and discussions of central issues in the field of learning and teaching English. The KATE Forum, published thrice-yearly, is a newsletter which includes feature articles, guest columns, special reports, teaching ideas, book reviews, article reviews, reports from the council, announcements and calls for papers, news about partner organizations, and other information about the organization and its members
