TPR for Young ESL Learners
Young children are always in motion. Movement is a defining part of the identity of 3-8 year old children and in order to connect effectively with them, we teachers need to move as well. This seminar will show how to use movement in all of your lessons!
The use of movement in language learning is based on the idea that it is natural to make a physical response to a command. "Stand up!" "Sit down!" "Clap your hands!" "Touch your nose!" are a few examples of commands that have such natural physical responses.
This seminar will present strategies, based on the Total Physical Response Method(TPR). for using movement effectively, both as a teaching aide and as a classroom management tool.
